Adderall is a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. These act as stimulant on the nervous system and affect the chemicals in the brain while having a significant role tom play in hyperactivity and impulse control. Adderall is prescription drug used in the treatment of ADHD and Narcolepsy. It being an over the counter drug, Adderall is unavailable to people without prescription. The drug is used unofficially too in treating various other conditions which include conditions such as obesity and depression. It is also used in sleeping disorders. The prescription drug is available only in limited countries that include the United Kingdom, Canada, United States, etc. in some of the countries the usage of the drug has been banned completely.


Uses of Adderall

Adderall when used for a short period of time, can cure ADHD and narcolepsy releasing adequate amounts of adrenaline into the blood which in turn increases the heart rate and speeds up the bodily activities. This is one of the most important reasons why people feel energetic and invigorated when they take Adderall. It also helps in the improvement of focus and concentration and thus is often misused by children for better grades in their exams. It sharpens memory and helps keep focused for a longer period than an individual is naturally capable of. It is also used as a form of recreational drug for it creates a feeling of euphoria and happiness. However, with the wearing off of the effect, it leaves the users feeling depressed, irritable, annoyed, and tired.

The disadvantages of Adderall

The adverse effects or side effects of Adderall depend and vary between people. As it is that it affects the heart rate of a person, non prescribed use of the drug can also lead to other diseases such as cardio vascular ones. It may lead to other diseases and disorders like high blood pressure or disruption in heart rhythm. In most cases, Adderall is seen affecting the appetite of the person taking it. It has the effect of causing a feeling of fullness of appetite. For this it is often used as an appetite suppressant. Continued use of Adderall can have a long term effect preventing the urge of eating. There are other side effects of using the drug which include dizziness, troubles sleeping, nausea, stomach pain, and dryness of mouth. Adderall is not given without prescription because there are high chances of it being abused. Mixing the drug with alcohol causes alcohol poisoning.
